UNITED - Artist Network

So I've been busy not posting anything to this for the last few months due to continually trying to fix my motorcycle, watching Commando on Netflix, and petting my cat. I did finally get the chance to work on some new pieces for a soon to launch brand called United Artist Network. You can get yours soon at a fine streetwear retailer in your area...

Drawings?

Working on a few pieces for friends and an upcoming show in the works. The next couple of months should be a fiesta. Plus, I added in a public service announcement regarding a book I tried to read. You're welcome. The future looks bright.

No Shows...No Posts

Sorry everyone, I've been lame at updating this lately. I did a show a few weeks back but haven't really done any artwork for a while, I guess I'm taking a little hiatus. In unrelated art news, I've been hanging out in the mancave cleaning up and unsuccessfully thinking of new things to work on. Of course, anytime bike work is being done Krokus must be playing in the background. Duh.

Throw Sam A Bone

Tomorrow night I'll have a few pieces up with some other great artists for a show at Gallery AKA in North Park. The event is a benefit to sponsor the cancer treatment for Samson, the Disconnected Salon mascot and friend who will be racking up some spendy vet bills soon. Come out and buy a piece and rack up some Karma for yourself because you need it. Santa knows.

Sezio/WLC Show

Here are some pics that I poached from the good folks at We Love Creativity until I post some of my own. The set-up was rad and Sezio did another tasty set-up as usual. I'm new to the charity gig so I definitely didn't get valet for the Tacoma in order to let the finer vehicles get taken care of. I did, however, eat more food than the average 3 attendees.

Fruit of Something

So I'm adding some pieces into an upcoming show with a lot of artists that I really like. Plus, somehow the event involves food so it pretty much has everthing i enjoy involved in it except for 80's action movies, free burritos and my cat. Should be a good time. Here's a little preview of some of the pieces I'm working on.vIf you're puzzled by the resentment theme in them, don't be. I just somehow think it's funny if a pink blob has a sense of entitlement...I'm probably the only one who thinks this is somehow clever so let me believe it is. And yes...those bottom ones are motivational fridge magnets. You're welcome.

Panels Live Show Video

The Panels show was awesome, super fun. I learned a hard lesson about painting the lower portion of the wall...don't do it. I feel like I did squats for 5 hours and it hurt to stand the next 3 days. All that said, the finished product was rad and all of the other artists are amazing guys.

Barometer of Radness

I made some prints of this piece to sell at the Electric show at Voyeur a long while back. They are all individually hand pressed and I have 15 prints left. These are $25 each so hit me up if you want one and I will snail mail it to you in a special box that I most likely found in my garage.

Threadulator

Kelli and I will be boothing up at Thread this year in downtown SD to peddle our wares to the masses. Come by and say hi. Also...buy something so that I can turn around and spend the money on coffee.

Panels Show

Come out on Saturday night and watch cool people do art on a wall and drink a beer. That's pretty much the best description I can come up with for this event. It will be really good, I promise. Proceeds benefit Invisible Children, a very worthy cause.  http://www.invisiblechildren.com/

I'll be there drawing unintellible characters somewhere. Join me. You can sign up for the guest list here and hosted bar here: http://welovecreativity.com/list

Boards for Sk8tology Show

Just finished these two and almost died from epoxy fumes in the process.

The first deck has actual vintage 1953 news clippings beneath the epoxy coating. And yes, this guy prefers riding 6 wheels instead of those little skateboard things the kids ride these days. Get over it. Rollerblades and HTML coding are the future. Better to deal with it now than end up like Arnold in Total Recall.

Beard of the Future

Our good friends the Bravos are having a little girl in the near future and asked some friends to do some artwork for her room (awesome idea that I will admit to potentially steal in the future). Aaron has facial hair that makes everyone else feel like they are still 14 (and looks good all the while) so we thought this illustration would be fitting. Kelli did the arty stuff and I did the words. We are a married team, sort of like the A-team but she does all the work and nothing explodes.
You can check out Bravo's artwork here (Chivo): http://www.mybrowncoat.com/

A new deck I just finished for my buddy Vince. He goes hard like Free Willy so I wanted his shred-stick to match.

Bloom Show Recap

Super fun, even despite the fact that I ate too much dairy on the cheese plate I ordered and some guy outside on the street tried to sell me his rap mixtape on two seperate occasions while I asked repeatedly for directions to a 7-11. Everyone's work at this show was genius and the band was on point. I can't believe that the singer could hold notes that long, she was blowing my mind...and later my ears after two hours. It was a great night all around.
